17 DARYA-I-NUR Weight of the original diamond 186.00 cts. Its name signifies "Sea of light" and together with the Taj-e-Mah it was mentioned in 1827 by Sir John Malcolm as one of the most important gems mounted on the Persian bracelets. Later the Darya-I-Nur, owing to its particularly rectangular and extremely flat shape, was re-mounted like a portrait-frame with a rich diamond-scattered border, surmounted by the sun, the lion and the Iranian Crown (the emblem of the Iranian court).
18 DEEPDENE Weight of the original diamond 104.88 cts. This marvelous golden-yellow colored, cushion-cut diamond, can be admired at the Philadelphia Science Museum. The bok family gave it as a donation.
19 DRESDEN WHITE Weight of the original diamond 49.71 cts. August of Saxony bought it for what is said to be the highest price paid for a diamond in the 1700's.
